It’s the first snow of 2026 in East Tennessee!
Schools in the area will be closed Thursday, Jan. 15, due to snow and freezing temperatures.
While Knoxville is expected to receive less than an inch of snow, more than 4 inches are possible in higher elevations in the mountains, according to the National Weather Service.
Here are the schools that are closing or delaying opening on January 15.
