Eagles sign several more players to future/reserve contracts

The Eagles are working to begin building their roster for the 2026 NFL season and have signed 12 players to future/reserve contracts.

Three new names have been revealed, with the team announcing the additions of S Andre’ Sam, TE EJ Jenkins and OT John Ojukwu.

Sam has had some experience with the Eagles the past two seasons and was regularly elevated to the game-day roster after rookie Andrew Mukuba suffered a season-ending fractured fibula. In his three active regular-season games, he saw primarily special teams reps, but also got three defensive snaps. Philadelphia’s safety position is a bit of a question mark, as Reid Blankenship is set to hit free agency and veteran Marcus Epps’ future with the team is unclear, so Sam will bring some familiar depth.

EJ Jenkins was used in a similar manner last season and was elevated multiple times as the tight end group dealt with injuries to Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcatra. The TE room is in a similar situation to safety in terms of depth, with Goedert, Calcatra and Kyler Grayson all free agents this spring.

Offensive tackle John Ojukwu has been with the Titans for the past three seasons and has played in 16 games during that span, 11 of which came during the 2024 NFL season. Overtime spent most of his time on the practice squad, but was moved around periodically based on injuries. The Eagles will always prioritize building the trenches and will be interested in depth options as Lane Johnson approaches retirement.
