Duke’s Falls At Clemson, 53-51, Win Streak Ends At 17

All good things must come to an end, and so Duke’s remarkable winning streak at Clemson came to an end, with the Tigers winning 53-51.

The streak began on Dec. 4 and grew to 17 games before the Tigers broke it — and it wasn’t easy.

Duke led 39-30 entering the fourth quarter, but Clemson exploded in the final quarter, beating Duke 23-12.

Even so, the game wasn’t decided until Hanna Kohn hit an open 3-pointer from the top of the key with 3.1 seconds left.

It was her only score of the game.

Toby Fournier once again played well, scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 assists and 1 steal.

Riley Nelson was the only Blue Devil player to score in double figures, scoring 10 times.

With the winning streak snapped, Duke currently stands at 20-7 and 15-1 in the ACC. With two games left in the regular season — Florida State at home and UNC in Chapel Hill — the Blue Devils remain in first place, with only Louisville (14-2) able to catch them. If Duke beats Florida State (9-19/4-12), they will win the regular season, as the Blue Devils beat Louisville.
