Donald Trump called ‘biggest piece of (expletive) on planet Earth’ for Rob Reiner post

Donald Trump was slammed on social media for his reaction to the deaths of Hollywood icon Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle Singer Reiner on Sunday.

Lehner, 78, and Singer, 68, were found dead of stab wounds and their son, Nick Lehner, was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Lehner is an outspoken critic of Trump, and the president entered the conversation Monday with a post that upset many.

“A very sad thing happened in Hollywood last night,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Rob Reiner, a tortured, struggling but once extremely talented film director and comedy star, has died along with his wife, Michele, reportedly from a condition known as Trump derangement syndrome. As the Trump administration surpasses all great goals and expectations, and as America’s golden age dawns, apparent bigotry reaches new heights, maybe Rob and Michelle rest in peace!”

There is no evidence that the deaths of Lehner and Singer were in any way related to his criticism of Trump, which many were quick to blame.

“Breaking News: Trump writes a sickeningly truthful social post that all but celebrates Rob Reiner’s murder,” posted Call to Activism on X . “Donald Trump is truly the worst person among us and the biggest (expletive) on the planet.

“(Expletive) Donald Trump and all those who cling to ‘the left glorifies violence.'”

Republican Rep. Thomas Massie, a frequent Trump critic, echoed the president’s comments.

I hope every Republican in every elected office in every corner of this country is asked about Donald Trump’s posts about Rob Reiner,” JoJoFromJerz wrote on X. “They love to cover themselves with religion. Then read it to them. Don’t let them say they “didn’t see it.” Let them defend it. “

There are many similar responses. It will be interesting to see if the president has more to say and if he is asked to defend his remarks.
