The Bo Bichette draw gets even more interesting with the Chicago Cubs signing Alex Bregman. The Cubs have had quite a week, and now Bichette’s list of potential destinations has been narrowed. Wherever he is, he has a strong market due to his flexibility.

MLB insider Jon Morosi said: “It is confirmed that Beau Bichette has received interest from multiple teams that view him as a second or third baseman because they have an established shortstop on the roster. Further evidence that the World Series enhances his value in the market.”
The Philadelphia Phillies are trying to get Bichette to agree to a deal that would make them the favorite to win the National League East again.
“The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of ongoing negotiations, confirmed The Athletic’s report that the Phillies plan to hold a virtual meeting with Bichette on Monday, Jan. 12, to discuss the possibility of joining the Phillies,” USA Today’s Bob Nightengale wrote.
Chris Landers of FanSided believes the Los Angeles Dodgers could end up beating out the Phillies for Bichette.

“The more you think about it, the more it makes sense to sign Bichette (especially if the Blue Jays prioritize Tucker). Los Angeles needs to fill a spot at second base, and they’ll soon fill a hole at third base with Max Muncy set to become a free agent next winter. The lineup, especially this infield, is a little dated and a little left-handed heavy — Bichette could solve both problems in one fell swoop,” Landers wrote.
The Dodgers have yet to make a major move like they have in the past few offseasons. Acquiring Bichette wouldn’t be a shock, especially considering their future roster needs.
With Kyle Tucker remaining silent on his free-agent decision, the Dodgers believe Bichette is the more likely of the two to sign with Los Angeles. They also know the addition of Bichette will bolster an already strong roster.
