The Dodgers’ offseason volcano had a nice eruption around winter games, but it’s been relatively dormant since. The magma is slowly starting to rise as fans eagerly await the next move. When the next outbreak will occur remains a mystery.
So, for now, the Dodgers continue to link their name to high-end names in trade/free agency rumors. The latest news comes from The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal and Will Salmon, who report that the Dodgers are one of the few teams interested in Milwaukee Brewers ace Freddy Peralta.

Starting pitching is certainly the least of the team’s concerns as they still need to address the outfield situation. Both Rosenthal and Salmon noted that the Dodgers could acquire Kyle Tucker on a short-term deal with a high AAV if no other team takes a quick swing at him.
Freddy Peralta’s talks are about to officially resume. Two New York teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox, have shown interest in him…the Dodgers like to say that Andrew Friedman’s favorite method of operation is “hanging around the plate.” If a player’s trade price or free agent price drops, the Dodgers’ president of baseball operations will try to grab him at the plate and dunk on the industry again. Tucker, for example, signed a four-year opt-out deal and a massive AAV, which would be a classic addition to Friedman. “
