Dennis Schroeder’s temper quickly boiled after receiving a physical foul. He turned quickly. Be prepared to fight someone pushing him from behind. Until he realized it was a Nikola theme. The journeyman seamlessly transitioned from Hulk to Bruce Banner.
Although Schroder has been considered a nasty player for years, he has a soft spot for the Oklahoma City Thunder. After all, his two best seasons came from 2018-20. Last year, he finished runner-up alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Lou Dot.

Six years later, Schroder finds himself in a new home in the NBA. It feels like he does something every other month. He joins the Cleveland Cavaliers — along with James Harden and Keon Ellis. The newest addition to the Eastern Conference roster is riding a seven-game winning streak with new additions.
The short-handed Thunder broke that streak with a surprise 121-113 victory over the Cavaliers. The short-handed team got off to a hot start without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams and rode the momentum to a rare surprise win to stay ahead of the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
Substitute Schroeder scored 11 points and 7 assists. Donovan Mitchell and Harden are also absent. Each scored 20 points with inefficiency, with Lou Dort and Carson Wallace chasing them all game.
Schroder later took to social media to express some love for the Thunder. He called it a “special place to play.” Although he has now angered the entire league, no amount of anger will make Thunder fans annoyed by his antics.

It’s always cool to see Schroder visit the Thunder. Although his tenure was short, he left behind some great memories. Especially with Chris Paul and Gilgeous-Alexander on the 2019-20 Thunder team. Who knows – maybe he’ll return in June for a possible 2026 NBA Finals.
