The Colorado Buffaloes had a whirlwind offseason, losing significant talent at the end of the season. However, they are equally active in replenishing their roster, bringing in quality players from schools across the country. Former Sacramento State head coach and UNLV offensive coordinator Brennan Marion replaces Pat Shurmur as the New Orleans offense’s new play-caller.
That momentum was further boosted by reports on Tuesday that Josh Niblett, one of the top high school coaches in Georgia, will join Deion Sanders’ staff. Niblett won 45 games and two Class 5A state championships in four seasons at Gainesville High School, bringing him to nearly 300 wins while coaching at Alabama and Georgia. He is widely considered one of the elite high school coaches in the country.
Niblett is expected to bolster the offense under Coach Prime, likely filling the tight ends coaching position left when Brett Bartolone left to lead Jeff Choate’s Nevada Wolfpack offense. This is a significant addition for Sanders and Buffalo and reflects his commitment to reinventing the staff with new talent, new ideas and, perhaps most importantly, real football coaching.

Colorado’s offense finally has its excitement back, a spark that has been missing since Shaddell Sanders and Travis Hunter left for the NFL.
