Cornerback Eric Fletcher comes to Wisconsin after spending 2025 in the Big 12

MADISON – Wisconsin never fully recovered from the transfer portal, which lost seven cornerbacks last year.

Eric Fletcher can help fill that void.

The redshirt sophomore, who played last season at Oklahoma State, committed to the Badgers on Jan. 3. The pledge was first reported by JGPPCB and then Fletcher posted the story on his X account.

Wisconsin will be the third stop for the 6-foot-1, 180-pound native of Fort Myers, Florida. He spent a redshirt season at East Carolina before signing with Oklahoma State prior to last season.

Fletcher appeared in 12 games for the Cowboys. He recorded 11 tackles, including 1.5 interceptions for loss. He also broke up three passes.

Cornerback is a position of need for the Badgers. According to “Pro Football Focus”, former All-American Ricardo Hallman played a team-high 713 defensive snaps, and D’Yoni Hill, who started nine games, also completed his eligibility. The Badgers also lost nickel Myr Latimer to the transfer portal.

The team’s most experienced player at the position will be rising redshirt sophomore Omilio Agard, who played with Hill for most of the season and started three games when Hill was injured.
