Harry Maguire’s remarkable recovery from injury this season continues, with the centre-back picking up the Man of the Match award on Sunday night.
It’s telling that in a game against three United goal scorers, Bruno Fernandes was at his usual best, while Maguire was considered the best of all 22 players on the north London pitch.

The England international earned a rating of seven on Fotmob after making eight passes, two receptions, one tackle, one block and as many as nine clearances in the final third. He also won 100% of ground duels and aerial duels.
On X/Twitter, the Premier League’s official account shared a photo of Maguire’s award while praising his performance as “excellent”.
Brian Mbemo, Patrick Dolgu and Matheus Cunha won the game for United with their attacking dominance. However, the fact that the Gunners had 57% of the ball, took 15 shots and nine corner kicks, and scored just once by their own players speaks volumes about the tenacious transformation of Maguire and his defensive teammates.

The results confirm that the Reds are in fourth place on Matchday 23 – one point above Chelsea and two points ahead of Liverpool.
