Chiefs TE Jake Briningstool has a chance to stand out next season

Despite a lack of potential breakout players, the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025 draft class has shown promise.

The Kansas City Chiefs signed Clemson Tigers tight end Jake Briningstool as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft. He showed strong potential in training camp and appears poised to become a hidden gem in the draft class. Brinstall suffered a hamstring injury in training camp that caused him to miss the entire season and place him on injured reserve.

“Yeah, I mean, obviously, you know what Travis (Kyles) can do. I think that’s very attractive for a guy who plays tight end,” Brinstow said at last year’s rookie minicamp. “I think just being able to come out here and learn from him, learn from other really high-level players and be able to come out here and apply my skills and see how I can make an impact.”

In his final three seasons at Clemson, Brinstall caught 124 passes for 1,313 yards and 16 touchdowns. He expressed a desire to learn from Kelce and hope to add another weapon with similar characteristics to the Chiefs in 2026.
