Charlotte area school districts closed Monday due to potential severe weather

CHARLOTTE (Queen City News) – We’re tracking a potentially severe weather system moving toward the Charlotte area that could bring thunderstorms, tornadoes and damaging winds Monday morning.

The region now faces an increased risk of severe weather with the increasing potential for strong, severe storms. These potential storms could bring damaging winds and possible spinning tornadoes, which are of greatest concern.

Based on the forecast, local school districts are adjusting their March Monday schedules. 16:

North Carolina

Anson County Schools – Non-Student Days (Closed to Employees)

Ashe County Public Schools – Early Dismissal

Richmond County Schools – Closed

south carolina

Chester County Schools – Closed

Clover School District – Distance Learning

Fort Mill Schools – Closed

Lancaster County School District – Closed

Rock Hill School – Closed

York School District – Distance Learning
