Baton Rouge Dunham, led by Class of 2027 quarterback Elijah Haven, will face Shreveport’s Calvary Baptist in the Division III Select Championship game Thursday night as part of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s Prep Classic at the Kaiser Superdome.

Dunham is seeking its first state title since 2004. The Tigers reached the Prep Classic last year but lost to New Iberia Catholic 31-28.

This season, the Tigers are 12-1. They entered the Prep Classic as the No. 5 seed. Last week, they defeated top-seeded Lafayette Christian Academy 49-48 in the semifinals.

Harvin, one of the most highly recruited quarterbacks in the nation, has thrown for 3,638 yards and 59 touchdowns this season, with his 59 touchdowns tying the single-season state record.

Sixth-seeded Calvary Baptist (12-1) is seeking its second state championship in three seasons. The Knights have won four state championships in program history, the first of which came in 2013.

Interception Calvary Baptist Church. The Cavaliers got a huge win early in the first half when Garrett Lee made a sliding steal near the sideline. Dunham 45 near Calvary.

– Dunham almost found another pick in the red zone on third down. Calvary then attempted a 31-yard field goal, but the ball deflected to the left. The Tigers took the lead with 1:02 left in the half.

– Calvary Baptist completed a fourth-and-long pass in its own territory and the Knights were now in the red zone near the two-minute mark.
