BYD is preparing to launch its new electric car BYD Tang L in China soon. Now, ahead of its official launch, the car has finally made its first public appearance, hinting at its imminent launch. Tang L showcases a more structured design than its predecessors, with a unique lighting arrangement.
Key parts of the front end include the dual-layer headlamps, with the upper section housing the daytime running lights and the lower section housing the main beam. Tang L is equipped with advanced technology, including lidar sensors mounted on the roof. The vehicle’s stylish silhouette is further enhanced by a slightly sloping roofline, retractable door handles and a continuous taillight bar at the rear.
Tang L Expected Features
Previous reports stated that Tang L’s interior adopts a six-seater layout in a 2+2+2 layout, and is equipped with a large suspended central display screen and a unique steering design. While specific details on engine options have yet to be confirmed, the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model is expected to use a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor. The all-electric version is expected to be built on BYD’s advanced platform to support the next generation of electric vehicles.
