The Texas-born Buc-ee’s Travel Center chain, known for its large stores, clean bathrooms and beaver mascot, has received an F rating from the Better Business Bureau, MSN reports.
The report said the rating came after nearly 90 complaints were filed against the company, with the BBB saying one of the reasons for the failing rating was “a failure to respond to 88 complaints.”
BBB ratings range from A+ to F and consider factors such as how a business handles and responds to customer complaints. While customer reviews don’t directly impact scores, responsiveness does.

Complaints posted on the BBB website range from unanswered inquiries, rude customer service, pricing issues, parking congestion and difficulties with returns, the report said.
Despite the complaints, Buc-ee’s business continues to grow. The chain has 54 stores in 11 states and plans to expand to several new states, including Ohio, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
The brand has built a following with its oversized travel centers, brisket sandwiches, jerky and popular snacks like beaver nuggets. Its largest store will reportedly open in 2024 in Luling, Texas, covering 75,000 square feet and equipped with 120 fuel pumps.
