The playoff favorites faced off in the final game of Group A, with Brad Gushue’s Newfoundland and Labrador thrilling the home crowd with a narrow win over Brad Jacobs’ Canada.

Gushue, a six-time Brier champion in eight years, finished third last year when Jacobs’ Team Alberta lifted the trophy. While the prospect of Gushue and Jacobs facing off at the end of the festivities is tantalizing, we’re not there yet.

This year, Kevin Koe’s Alberta team remains undefeated in Group B. Manitoba’s Matt Dunstone, who last fell short of the finals for the second time in three years, won’t have an easy exit in 2026.

Here’s everything you need to know to track St. John’s elimination game.
