SEATTLE (AP) — Brayden Carrington hit nine 3-pointers and scored 32 points to set a career high, Nick Boyd scored 22 points and Wisconsin beat Washington State 90-73 on Saturday.
Carrington averaged 7.4 points per game, played 27 minutes off the bench and made 9 of 15 three-pointers. He scored 23 points on 6-of-9 shooting in the second half.

Boyd scored eight points in the first six-plus minutes of the game as the Badgers led 14-3. Washington’s Hannes Steinbach opened the scoring with a dunk, but the Huskies didn’t score another field goal until Quimari Peterson’s layup to make it 17-7 with 12 minutes left.
Wisconsin (20-9, 12-6 Big Ten) led by double digits in the final six minutes of the half, and the score was 36-21 at the break. A 10-0 run took place in the middle of the second half, chasing the score to 66-42.
Washington’s Steinbach scored 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Zom Diallo scored 21 points. Wesley Yates III scored three points on 1-for-17 shooting.
It was Steinbach’s 18th double-double as a freshman, nine of which came when he scored 20 or more points.

Nolan Winter had 13 points and nine rebounds for Wisconsin. The Badgers averaged over 30 three-point attempts per game and made 17 of 38 (45%).
Washington retired Detlef Schrempf’s No. 22 jersey during a halftime ceremony.
