Brady Tkachuk ignites USA–Canada rivalry before 2026 Winter Olympics with bold message

The 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics are scheduled to take place from February 6-22, 2026, and Team USA will be fully committed to meeting Team Canada’s hockey challenge.

A total of 12 teams will compete in the men’s Olympic Hockey Championship, with the United States and Canada both participating. Although the Olympics begin on February 6, the puck drop for the games is scheduled for February 11.

But before the showdown with archrival Team Canada began, Team USA’s Brady Tkachuk issued a strong warning to Team Canada and shed some light on the rivalry.

“Well, I think for those who don’t know, it’s a rivalry that’s always been there at every level,” Tkachuk said of the upcoming game against Canada in an interview with The Athletic. “It could be junior hockey, it could be NHL players. Canada has been the top team for years and now the U.S. is knocking on the door and we want to beat the top team in hockey.”
