The Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 16 game against the Detroit Lions is quickly approaching. It’s a tough road game for the Black and Gold football brand, and we at Steelers Line have a new batch of bold predictions for Sunday’s game.

From dual-threat running backs with potentially big returns, here are three bold predictions for the Steelers and Lions’ Week 16 matchup.

Kenneth Gainwell has over 100 total yards.

Gainwell, who has averaged 88 yards over the past five games, has gone over 100 yards in three of them, could very well break the century record on Sunday. Gainwell has been great on the ground and in the air for Pittsburgh, and he’s going to have a monster game in Week 16.

Aaron Rodgers throws for over 250 yards

Pittsburgh has all the makings of a shootout in Week 16 against Detroit, which is good news for an Aaron Rodgers-led offense that has reshaped its image in the passing game. While Rodgers has topped the 250-yard mark just once this season, there’s reason to believe he’ll do it again this Sunday against an injury-plagued Lions defense.

TJ Watt returns

Some insiders have speculated that Watt could come out of lung surgery earlier than expected, even in Week 16 against the Lions. Watt was spotted back at the team’s practice facility on Thursday, sparking rumors that he could return this Sunday.
