WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Bobby Witt Jr. hit a three-run homer in the 10th inning and Salvador Perez singled and the Kansas City Royals beat the Athletics 4-1 on Tuesday night for their fourth straight victory.
Witt hit a 1-0 pitch from Justin Sterner (1-3) to right center with automatic runner Nick Loftin on second base and Kyle Isbell on first, who beat a pop-up bunt that failed to advance the runner. Perez hit his fifth home run in the sixth inning to tie the game at 1, and Witt hit his second to extend his hitting streak to nine games.

The Athletics loaded the bases in the bottom of the 10th, but Lucas Erceg struck out Darell Hernaiz to second for his seventh save in nine chances.
Kansas City’s Kris Bubic allowed four hits and four runs in five innings. Nick Mills (2-1) struck out two in the ninth to win the game.
Zack Gelof had an infield single to start the second, then Jacob Wilson scored on a double for the Athletics.
A’s starting pitcher Aaron Sibal allowed five hits and four walks in five innings. He left with a 1-0 lead.
Perez hit a home run off Hogan Harris in the sixth inning. This is the 308th game of his career.

Nick Kurtz went 0-for-4 but allowed a walk in the first inning to extend his Athletics record to 17 consecutive free throws. Barry Bonds was the last major leaguer to walk 17 consecutive games with the Giants in 2007. The Tigers’ Roy Cullenbine set the record with 22 games in 1947.
Tyler Soderstrom left the game with an injury after rushing in the fifth inning, but the Royals’ Vinnie Pasquantino did the same thing after a touchdown run in the top of the sixth.
The A’s called up infielder Brett Harris from Triple-A Las Vegas before the game after placing third baseman Max Muncy on the 10-day injured list.
