Jordon Hudson is from Maine and a former college cheerleader. Her family has strong ties to Maine’s fishing community. The fishing community in the Northeast is going through a very difficult time.
Life in rural Maine gets harder and harder every month.
“Maine consistently ranks as one of the most rural states in the country, with more than 60 percent of the population living away from large cities,” The Maine Monitor said in an article titled “ Living in rural Maine is increasingly difficult.
“While Maine has seen significant population growth during the COVID-19 pandemic, that has not changed grim demographic trends. In some ways, the gap has grown wider over the past decade or so. The following four indicators show how rural areas have fallen behind urban areas during that time.”

The 24-year-old girlfriend of the North Carolina Tar Heels head coach shared Maine’s article on her Instagram Story.
Hudson has previously pleaded with President Trump and the U.S. government to help local residents.
Belichick’s girlfriend calls on U.S. government
“I’m Jordan and I speak for fishermen. I speak for fishermen and for the fishermen who don’t have a voice,” she previously wrote on Instagram, calling for more help from the U.S. government.
Hudson’s father was a fisherman who was eventually pushed out of the industry due to “reckless regulatory decisions by government officials,” according to Hudson.
The girlfriend of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels head coach continues to seek help for her native Maine.
Hudson’s growing platform on social media allowed her plea for help to go viral.
