House Oversight Chairman James Cuomo said Bill and Hillary will be held in contempt of court for failing to testify. The former president and secretary of state appear to have no intention of complying with this request.

The Clintons appear prepared to do whatever they can to avoid talking to Congress about the matter. The former Democratic presidential candidate claimed on her X account that their subpoenas were illegal. In her letter, Clinton described a series of actions she considered unprecedented and dangerous.
The letter said these actions include abuse of federal law enforcement and political interference in the Department of Justice. The letter also claims that James is engaged in a partisan effort that has had little success in uncovering the truth. They believe they were singled out despite having less direct knowledge than those who were subpoenaed and then quietly fired.
The letter argued that the subpoenas against them were legally invalid and were selectively enforced. Bill seemed to be in the most trouble with this whole thing. Last week, reports emerged that Hillary was ready to throw her husband under the bus over the Epstein dossier. It was also thought that the couple might divorce after more than 50 years of marriage.
For his part, Bill has called for the release of Epstein’s full files, even though many believe this would cause more serious damage to his reputation.
