Bayern Munich is ready to launch contract talks with star forward Harry Kane at the end of the season, according to supervisory board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
The England captain, who joined from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 for £100m, has been a revelation for the German giants with 138 goals in 141 games.

With just one year left on his current contract by the summer, the 32-year-old has consistently expressed his contentment in Munich, where his family are understood to be well settled.
Interviewed by a German news website T-onlineLater, Rummenigge confirmed the club’s intentions.

“Bringing Harry Kane to Bayern Munich is a huge move in the club’s history,” he said.
He expanded on Kane’s commitment, adding: “It is known that he has a release clause. He has not activated it, which shows that he will definitely stay in Munich.”
“It is now agreed that the relevant management in the operational area will hold talks with him at some point after the end of the season, with the clear aim of extending his contract as Harry undergoes another transition under Vincent Kompany.

“He’s always been a great striker and scored a lot of goals, but now he’s a playmaker, coming back into midfield and bringing Michael Olise and Luis Diaz into the game with his wonderful long balls. That’s very important for our style of play.”
Kane has already won two Bundesliga titles with Bayern and played a key role in their Champions League semi-finals against Paris Saint-Germain this season.
Rummenigge also issued a stern warning to any club keeping tabs on former Crystal Palace striker Michael Ollis.
“For a player like Olise, there is no price tag that would hold us back,” Rummenigge asserted.
“He’s a great player. I also appreciate his introversion and shyness with the media. That’s rare these days. He’s a great guy and he’s very good on the pitch.”
