Battlefield 6 will be released later this week on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. Ahead of the shooter’s release, EA has confirmed the game’s global release date. Battlefield 6 is also now preloadable across different platforms. In India, the game will go on sale on October 11 at 2:30 AM IST.
EA confirmed Battlefield 6’s global release date in a Friday X post. As the game’s release approaches, it’s also now available to preload on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox store. EA has confirmed that preloading is not supported on the Epic Games Store.
Battlefield 6 will be released on October 10th on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. In the US, the game will go live at 8am PDT / 11am EDT. In London, UK, Battlefield 6 will go on sale at 4pm BST. In India, however, users will have to wait longer. Battlefield 6 will be released on October 10 at 8:30 PM UTC (October 11 at 2 AM IST). Battlefield 6 post-release updates
Following the release of Battlefield 6, EA will launch the game’s first season on October 28. The free update will include new maps, modes, weapons, vehicles, and more.
Season 1 content will begin on October 28 with Rogue Ops. The update will add a new map called Blackwell Fields and a new 4v4 mode called Strikepoint. Other additions include new vehicles, weapons, and attachments.
Then, the second phase of Season 1 content will launch on November 18, adding a new map called Eastwood, as well as a new 8v8 feature called Sabotage. The update will also bring combat pickup functionality, new weapons, and attachments.
Finally, EA will launch the third and final phase of Season 1 on December 9th. This update will bring a limited-time map update, bringing a winter version of the Empire State map, as well as limited-time events and melee weapons.
Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10th. The game is the first entry in the series since 2021’s Battlefield 2042. It will go head-to-head with Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is set to release on PC and consoles next month.
