KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Law enforcement is on scene following reports of a shooting at the Panasonic plant in DeSoto, Kansas.
Johnson County MED-ACT confirmed to FOX4 that a shooting occurred at the facility on Friday morning. No further details were provided.
Around 12:20 noon, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Share on Facebook The company has a large presence of representatives near the plant and in the area of 103rd Street and Astra Avenue.
The Sheriff’s Office added that the situation was “under control” and there was “no threat to the public.”

“We are aware of an incident at our DeSoto, Kansas facility involving law enforcement. There was no shooter and we are working closely with the appropriate authorities. We have no additional details to share at this time.”
