UPDATE: Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told NewsNation’s Brian Entin that the overnight disturbance was because they were “just following leads. No arrests have been made. No sign of Nancy.”
The original text is as follows.
Authorities may be one step closer to figuring out what happened Nancy Guthrie.
On Friday, February 13, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that DNA found in Nancy’s home did not match her or anyone in her close circle. Soon after, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department headed to the staging area along with SWAT, and rumors of a manhunt spread online. The police then showed up at a home about two miles from where Nancy lived.
According to Entin, this movement is directly related to Nancy’s disappearance.
“It was a crazy four or five hours in Tucson,” Entin said on his YouTube show. Authorities “detained a man and a woman at the house, and they also detained a man at the traffic stop at Culver’s Restaurant, which is very close to that house. I’m told it’s all connected. I’m told it could be a mother and son who were detained in the house, or it could be the brother who was detained at the traffic stop,” Entin continued.
The vehicle seen in the Culver parking lot was a Range Rover. It was later towed away.
Entin had a front-row seat to the raid because he was able to get into the police cordon before it was set up. He said authorities did not need to “use force” to enter the home and that the man and woman had “surrendered.” Entin went on to say that authorities spent several hours at the home gathering evidence, which he called “considerable progress.”

There are also rumors that a fourth person involved died of an apparent suicide during the pursuit. This has not been confirmed.
Meanwhile, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department shared its own update on social media.
“There are no press conferences scheduled tonight regarding the Nancy Guthrie investigation. A written statement will be released soon,” one message read. The department released an update about an hour later. “Reports of current law enforcement activity surrounding the former county prosecutor’s home are inaccurate,” it reads.
Another hour later, the third update was released.
“Law enforcement activity is ongoing at a residence related to the Guthrie case near E Orange Grove Rd and N First Ave. As this is a joint investigation at the request of the FBI, no additional information is available at this time,” the post read.

There haven’t been any official updates since.
Nancy has been missing since Sunday, February 1st. Authorities have been working to locate her and find those responsible for her disappearance.
It’s unclear whether those detained Friday night are suspected of being directly involved in Nancy’s disappearance, or if they may be behind any emails sent to TMZ requesting information about Nancy or her potential kidnappers. It is also possible that the person detained has nothing to do with the case.
As of this writing, no arrests have been reported.
