Arizona State uses late surge to beat Oklahoma State 85-76

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Masamba Diop scored 17 points, Santiago True had a double-double and Arizona State used a late 9-0 run to help beat Oklahoma State 85-76 on Tuesday night.

Kanye Clary hit a 3-pointer to pull the Cowboys within 69-68, and Arizona State scored nine straight points to take a 10-point lead with 1:25 left. Maurice Odum hit a three-pointer and Noah Meeusen scored the final four points in the final seconds. The Sun Devils then blocked the ball from the free throw line.

Diop made 6 of 10 field goals and 5 of 6 free throws. Trouet had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Arizona State (13-12, 4-8 Big 12). Odum scored 13 points and Mason scored 12 points.

The Sun Devils shot 40 percent (26 of 65) from the field, missed 16 of 21 attempts from beyond the arc, but hit 28 of 35 from the free throw line. They also scored 26 points off 17 Oklahoma State turnovers.

Anthony Roy and Pasha Farah each scored 16 points to lead Oklahoma State (16-8, 4-7). Clary finished with 11 points. Roy shot 2 of 10 from distance.

Oklahoma State tied the game twice in the second half, and Arizona State used a 13-5 run to take a 60-52 lead with 10:37 left.

The Cowboys led just twice, each time within the first four minutes of the game.
