Silva, 50, scored a stunning knockout victory over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley on the undercard of the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua event on Friday night in Miami. Silva, who has made a successful transition into the boxing ring during his post-MMA career, knocked Woodley down in the second round with a right uppercut and a series of follow-up moves. Although Woodley broke the count, the referee called the lightweight bout over at 1:33, with the Brazilian legend winning by TKO.
Silva once again proved that age is just a number, adding another legendary chapter to his storied career.

How old is Anderson Silva?
Silva is 50 years old this year.
Silva was born in 1975 and began his career in Brazil. Although he would later become synonymous with the UFC, he first established his legacy in events such as Shooto and PRIDE FC before embarking on a journey to the UFC in 2006.

Silva knocked Woodley down in the second round and the fight was over shortly after.
The MMA legend knocked Woodley down in the second round with a right uppercut and a flurry of punches, giving the Brazilian legend a decisive TKO win.

With this win, Silva moves to 4-2 as a boxer. However, since 2021, he is 3-1.
After a long and storied MMA career, he returned to boxing and had several high-profile matches against other combat sports veterans; he defeated Woodley, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and Tito Ortiz, but lost to Jake Paul.

Silva also competed in professional boxing early in his career (1998 and 2005) before going on to dominate in the UFC.

What’s next for Anderson Silva?
Anderson Silva said in a post-fight interview that he will not retire but wants to become a Beverly Hills police officer.
“I’m going back to work right now and starting my police academy at the Beverly Hills Police Department,” Silva said.
Silva said it was his personal desire to become a police officer because it was his family’s heritage. His uncle was a police officer in the local police force and he spent much of his childhood in Curitiba. Additionally, his brother and nephew are also police officers. He considered it a “family matter.”

In 2014, Silva told a Brazilian media outlet that he was actively studying with the Los Angeles School Police Department. He clarified that he was training in the United States in memory of his uncle, who was back in Brazil.
After the fight, Silva also invited his long-time UFC rival Chris Weidman for a boxing match. Weidman suffered pain in training for his second fight with Silva.
An expected date for the game has not yet been announced.
