Ambulance involved in crash while transporting patient to hospital in Arkansas

JACKSON COUNTY, Ark. — An ambulance crashed while transporting a patient to a Jackson County hospital Monday night.

Officials with the Tuckerman Fire Department and Volunteer Ambulance Service said four people were taken to the hospital following the crash.

“We need your prayers for our firefighters and first responders as well as patients and others involved,” officials said in a social media post.

Although the cause of the crash has not been confirmed, scattered ice on portions of the road in Jackson County was reported to have contributed to the crash.

Jackson County Sheriff Russell Brinsfield said roads remained slick Tuesday morning and there was black ice on bridges.
