Aleksandr Chizov won PFL Europe gold in the most violent way possible on Saturday.
In a lightweight fight at PFL Europe 4 2025, Chizov (13-3) needed just over two rounds to finish Connor Hughes (12-3) with a brutal right hand. The suspension occurred at 0:50 of the third round at the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France.

Chizov connected with a clean punch. Hughes was knocked unconscious when he hit the canvas, and Chizov followed up with punches, but only managed half a combo. Regardless, Hughes was done and the fight was over.
After the stoppage, Chizov drove home having just wreaked some serious damage by firing an imaginary shotgun over and over in the direction of his downed opponent, “reloading” between each shot.
With the victory, Latvita’s 28-year-old Chizov defeated Mark Juve and Claudio Pacella to reach Saturday’s final to win the 2025 PFL European Lightweight Championship.
