The Wildcats have been selected for the 2026-27 recruiting class.
Four-star shooting guard Adam Umidok announced Wednesday night that he has committed to Villanova.
“Villanova really stands out because of its culture and the way it does things,” he told Opponent. “The style of play suited my game and the relationships I built with the coaching staff made me feel like this was always the right place for me.”

The 6-foot-5 guard previously committed to St. John’s after stints at Villanova, Illinois, Oregon State and LSU, but he requested his release in February.
247Sports ranks Oumiddoch No. 53 in the class, while Rivals ranks him No. 60 and SportsCenter NEXT ranks him No. 39 nationally.
Adam Finkelstein, Director of Scouting for 247Sports Said Oumiddoch: “(He) is a skilled scorer. He has good positional size but lacks ideal strength or athleticism and makes up for it by being super crafty. He has great hands and a naturally soft touch, so while his skills are unorthodox, he has historically been a shot-maker. He is a confident ballhandler but lacks a super-explosive first step, so he can over-dribble the ball at times, looking for changes to use his smarts.”
Umidok is averaging 28.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game for the Overtime Elite this season.
As of now, he’s scheduled to help replace Devin Askew in next year’s rotation. The Virginia native will join Akadon Lewis, Bryce Lindsay, Chris Jeffrey and Malachi Palmer on the outside.
