Activision Blizzard is preparing to announce the next “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater” game, with a countdown to March 4 on the official website. The publisher has yet to confirm the upcoming game, but rumors suggest it could be a remake of classic games Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4. Last week, Activision Blizzard revealed a new Tony Hawk project in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater Announcement
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 may be released soon, with the Tony Hawk game announced for March 4th. The official website shows the date “03.04.25” and a countdown timer.
Last week, Activision launched the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 02 Reloaded update, bringing back Grind, the skate park-themed multiplayer map from Black Ops 2. In the map, Activision teased a March 4 release date and showed off branding for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series, all but confirming that a new game is coming.
Following the update, Charlie Intel, the main Call of Duty news and update channel, posted a teaser for the March 4 announcement on Bluesky, to which Tony Hawk himself responded with an eye emoji.
Rumors of a new Tony Hawk game have been around for a long time, with the legendary skateboarder himself hinting that a new one might be in the works. Earlier this month, professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jones revealed on a podcast that he will soon appear in the upcoming Tony Hawk remake.
The game is most likely Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, a remake of the third and fourth games in the series, released in 2001 and 2022 respectively.
Activision Blizzard released Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 in 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, which remastered the first two games in the series. PS5, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch versions of the game were subsequently launched in 2021.
