This Sunday at Gambridge Arena, Gannon and Lander will compete for the NCAA Division II men’s basketball national championship.

Both programs are competing for their first national championship in a game that pits two of the hottest teams in the country against each other on D2 basketball’s biggest stage.

Gannon (33-3) returns to the championship game for the first time since 1987 and is led by the “Aussie Twins” Lucas and Mackenzie Morgan, who combined for 48 points in the semifinals.

The Bearcats defeated defending champion Rising Stars Southeastern to punch their ticket to Indy and advance to the national finals for the first time. This game featured a classic contrast: Gannon’s high-octane offense versus Lander’s “blue wall” defense.
