Was Donald Trump really rushed to Walter Reed Hospital? Here’s what to know

Was Donald Trump really sent to Walter Reed National Medical Military Center?

A casual look at Elon Musk’s X social media platform on Saturday would lead one to assume that this is the case, but so far there is no evidence to support the rumor.

In fact, as the claims spread on social media, White House communications director Steven Chang shared a post on X offering a different explanation for Trump’s whereabouts.

“There has never been a president who has worked harder for the American people than President Trump,” Zhang wrote around 3 p.m. “He has been working non-stop in the White House and Oval Office this Easter weekend.

“May God bless him.”

The post was retweeted by the White House’s X account.

Trump is also active on Truth social networking sites.

“Remember I gave Iran ten days to reach a deal or open the Strait of Hormuz,” he wrote Saturday morning. “Time is running out – 48 hours before hell is upon them. Glory to God! President Donald J. Trump.”

Later that day, he wrote: “If you import the Third World, you become the Third World!” — and that will not happen in the United States of America as long as I am president. President Donald J. Trump. “

Trump does not appear to be hospitalized.

So, how did the rumors start?

Well, it appears to be a combination of factors, including claims that roads around the hospital have been closed.

Additionally, the White House restricted media access until noon. People seem to be conflating the two and spreading rumors that “Walter Reed” is popular on X.

These rumors appear to have been debunked by White House correspondent Hugo Lowell.

“The White House has stopped travel/photos at 11am ET, which means we don’t expect to see the president for the remainder of the day,” Lowell posted on the X on Saturday afternoon. “Trump is in Washington this weekend, but we have yet to have a formal press conference on the situation of the missing pilot in Iran.”

“Trump has been at the White House today, as evidenced by the presence of a Marine outside the West Wing,” Lowell added. “No one has been to his trip to Trump National Golf Links or Walter Reed Golf Links.”
