The New England Patriots made a big move this offseason, signing former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Dubs to a four-year, $68 million contract.

Dukes has the potential to be New England’s top receiver, especially since the Patriots haven’t made any notable additions at the position. Despite potentially being the leading receiver, Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton believes Dukes is ready for a “breakout” season.

“Now with the New England Patriots, Dubs can be a true No. 1 receiver,” Morton wrote Tuesday. “New England waived wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who had 102 goals last season.

“With Derek Meyer’s recent growth as a pass rusher and the lack of a star receiver, Dubs’ targets should increase. Unless New England trades for AJ Brown, there’s a good chance he’ll eclipse 1,000 receiving yards in a season for the first time in his career.”

Dukes spent four seasons in Green Bay, catching 202 passes for 2,424 yards and 21 touchdowns in 59 games.

Although Dubs spent those four seasons playing alongside talented quarterback Jordan Love, his production has the potential to improve even further next to Meyer, who has the potential to become one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
