Popular French journalist Julien Lawrence has been following tonight’s Champions League match between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
After losing 2-5 away from home in the first leg, the Blues will face an uphill battle if they want to continue advancing in the competition. Turning the game around was almost impossible and they had to score three goals and keep a clean sheet to at least make it to overtime. But in football, you can never say never.

We know Chelsea can score against PSG, they’ve shown it in their last two games, one of which was actually Chelsea’s 3-0 win in the Club World Cup final in the summer. They also scored two goals against them last week.
So, can they do it? Lawrence didn’t completely dismiss them!

In a quote posted on X last night, Lawrence said ahead of tonight’s game:
“Chelsea have the ability to surpass PSG by three goals tomorrow. The problem is, they may also concede some goals… It is difficult to imagine the Blues advancing. The British media are also quite pessimistic.”
I don’t think there will be many Chelsea fans tonight who believe they can do the impossible. But on a football field, anything can happen.
