Suspended: Bayern Munich’s Nicolas Jackson handed two-game ban

According to information compiled by Rotowire, Bayern Munich forward Nicholas Jackson was red carded and suspended for two games for a foul during the team’s 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday:

Jackson has been suspended for one more game by the German Football Association’s sports court and will miss two matches.

Jackson drew red on Saturday and will now miss more than one game, with the league ruling keeping him out of more games. Nonetheless, he will now miss the games against Union Berlin on March 21 and Freiburg on April 4, before returning against St. Pauli on April 11. Fortunately for the club, he serves primarily as a backup striker and is unlikely to force too many changes.

Jackson’s suspension comes at a terrible time for the Chelsea product. Before his disastrous performance against Bayer Leverkusen, the 24-year-old had actually put in some positive efforts. Now, the Senegalese striker will miss the next Bundesliga games. Hopefully Bayern Munich starting forward Harry Kane will be ready for the weekend’s clash with Union Berlin.
