This season, Doncic once again performed at an MVP level. However, his light was overshadowed by his peers, especially SGA. Doncic once again made headlines after scoring 51 points against the Chicago Bulls, which could be the key to him getting some well-deserved attention again.

Redick continues to get Doncic the attention he deserves

As a head coach who wants his players to be as confident as possible, Redick wants more people to appreciate Doncic. He brings a lot of scoring as Doncic has been outstanding again this season. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t get the same accolades as his peers.

Of course, other players deserve credit as well because they have been leading the team. SGA, Jokic, Cade Cunningham and Victor Wembanyama are all playing at an MVP level and are all in contention for the award before the season is over.

Looking forward, this game showed the potential of Doncic’s team. Sure, he’s been helped by the stellar performances of Austin Reeves and Deandre Ayton, but Redick wants to highlight Doncic’s contributions as a star player.

“He’s playing as well as anybody in the NBA right now, and I think it probably doesn’t get talked about enough, but I’ll talk about it,” Redick said of Doncic not getting the appreciation he deserves.

As the Lakers’ season winds down, their all-around performance is getting better. Of course, most people’s eyes are on the Big Three of Doncic, Reeves, and LeBron James. However, because Luka is playing at a high level, other players on the team have benefited a lot, including Ayton.

If they can continue to play at this level, the Lakers will be a tough team to beat. They will be a tough team to play against in the playoffs, and Redick is ready to coach a team that is ready to continue its struggle for success.
