Tottenham Hotspur have contacted Dougie Friedman to lead changes at the club, with Bournemouth’s Thiago Pinto also on the sporting director’s list as they also try to resolve this season’s crisis. Sean Dyche has been tipped as a potential replacement for Igor Tudor.
They also have to plan on multiple levels as the club hierarchy is beset by indecision. Whatever happens, summer football reforms are necessary, but relegation would obviously change the situation significantly.

Friedman is one of football’s most respected recruitment experts for his work at Crystal Palace but currently holds a lucrative role at Al Diriyah in Saudi Arabia. While uncertainty over Tottenham’s budget for next season may also dampen any potential talks, the sporting director is said to view the job as attractive with the opportunity to reinvigorate a giant club with a blank canvas. Meanwhile, at Bournemouth, Pinto specializes in signing players Spurs want.

Depending on how the season ends, things could change a lot and it’s understood management will once again be divided over what decision to make regarding the head coach.
It was evidently recognized that this would not work under the Tudors. Results worsened and performances plummeted, with the Croatian’s abrasive approach deemed unsuitable for the situation, adding to confusion over the tactical system he was trying out.

As with Thomas Frank, one problem is that Spurs don’t know who to bring in.
Dyche is regarded as one of the few “survival specialists” in the game and it is thought that teams could exploit the defensive command he brings.

However, the 54-year-old is said to be unwilling to take on a short-term role and sources suggest there could be complications surrounding his move to Nottingham Forest. Dyche was sacked by relegation rivals Spurs last month.
If he joins Tottenham, the two managers who have coached Forest this season – Dyche and Nuno Espirito Santo – risk relegating the midlands club.
