The Kansas City Chiefs have a seasoned veteran coming into the game to bolster their defensive line.
According to ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler, the Chiefs have agreed to a three-year, $24.75 million contract with former Baltimore Ravens defensive back Alohi Gilman, with $15 million guaranteed.
The Los Angeles Chargers selected Gilman in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The former Notre Dame standout was teammates with Chiefs linebacker Drew Tranquill in college and later with the Chargers.

In 2025, Gilman started all 17 games for the Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens, totaling 90 tackles. In his six-year career, he had 320 tackles, one sack, five interceptions and six fumble receptions.
Gilman’s PFF grade last season was 70.4, specifically fourth in pass breakups. The 28-year-old brings physicality to the secondary under defensive backs coach Dave Merritt. Kansas City lost three secondary starters this offseason, and the team is expected to be significantly different in 2026.
