It’s time to vote for Vance Law Firm’s Montgomery Advertiser Sportswoman of the Week for the week of February 21-27.
This week’s nominees include three basketball players competing in the AHSAA Final Four, as well as one softball and football player.

Voting will begin on Monday, March 9th, Will be open until noon on Thursday March 12. The winner will be announced on Friday 13th March. Nominees are selected based on the top-performing players fielded by high school coaches or statisticians. Coaches and team statistics administrators can nominate players by sending statistics to sports@montgomeryadvertiser.com.
Vance Law Firm Honors Montgomery Advertiser Female Athlete of the Week Nominations March 2-6

St. James’ Natalie Patton had 35 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and seven steals in two AHSAA Final Four games. Barton was named MVP of the 3A state championship game.

Montgomery Catholic’s Hannah Smith had a double-double in the 4A semifinals, finishing with 16 points, 14 rebounds, five steals and three assists.

Park Crossing’s Maliyah Meeks had a double-double in the Class 6A semifinals with 15 rebounds, 12 points and three blocks.

Trinity Presbyterian’s Marley Sharpless played the entire game, allowing three hits, two earned runs, one walk and three strikeouts in a 7-6 victory over Charles Henderson.
