Justin Timberlake sues ritzy Long Island town over DWI arrest that he joked would ‘ruin the tour’

Justin Timberlake is suing the posh Long Island town of Sag Harbor in an attempt to block the public release of bodycam footage from his DUI arrest, which he joked would “ruin the tour.”

The “SexyBack” singer wants a Suffolk County Supreme Court judge to order an order blocking the release of the video, according to court documents obtained by Page Six on Monday.

The recording, which was captured by police during a traffic stop and arrest of Timberlake in June 2024, is part of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request submitted by members of the media, according to the documents.

Timberlake, 45, argued in the lawsuit that he was “in an extremely vulnerable state during the roadside encounter with law enforcement.”

Court documents also claim that body camera video captured “intimate details” of Timberlake’s “appearance, demeanor, words and actions” during field sobriety tests, arrest and incarceration.

Michael Del Piano, an attorney for the NSYNC alumnus, claimed that releasing the body camera footage would cause “serious and irreparable harm” to Timberlake’s “personal and professional reputation” and subject the singer to “public ridicule and harassment.”
