The NFL Draft Combine is over, and we’ve had more than a month and a half of speculation, mock drafts, and buzz leading up to the first round of the NFL Draft on April 23. One of the most discussed players is also the big winner of the combine – Notre Dame running back Jeremiah Love.
We all know the stigma surrounding the running back position in the NFL draft, but there have been plenty of exceptions over the past two decades. Will Jeremiah Love be one of the exceptions?

Yes – yes, he’s definitely going to be one of those exceptions. Before the combine, there were many who said Love was the best player in the draft and that he wouldn’t go past the Kansas City Chiefs with the ninth overall pick. After the combine, the accolades and expectations went up another notch. But don’t take my word for it – here are some of the many examples of the Jeremiah love hype train taking off from the station.
Basically, Love’s draft ceiling is #3 with the Arizona Cardinals and probably #8 with the New Orleans Saints — sorry, KC, but you don’t exist anymore.

There are two entities that don’t care who the best player is, and they both involve college football. Obviously I’m talking about the Heisman Trophy and the NFL Draft. Jeremiah Love definitely falls into both categories. Love is the best player in this year’s draft, and barring some kind of major trade, we should expect him to end up with the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, or New York Giants.
Love is considered one of the best running backs of the past decade. Whichever team drafts him, their offense will be better than last season… because he’s the best player in the draft.
