Part of Highway 41 to close for construction in Fresno. Here’s when and where

Attention, Fresno drivers.

A portion of Highway 41 will be closed as crews conduct maintenance projects, the California Department of Transportation said in a Facebook post on Wednesday, February 25.

Here’s what you need to know:

When will Highway 41 be closed in Fresno? Where?

Caltrans will close Lane 2 of northbound Highway 41 from Central Avenue to Fresno North Avenue starting at 8 a.m. Friday, February 27, for “maintenance operations.”

The Highway 41 North Boulevard off-ramp will also be closed starting at 8 a.m. Friday, the state Highway Department said.

How long will the highway lanes be closed?

Lanes and exits on Highway 41 are expected to remain blocked until 2 p.m. Friday, Caltrans said.

“Closings may last longer due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur during maintenance,” Caltrans said, adding that scheduled roadwork is “weather permitting.”

Caltrans reminds drivers to use “extra caution and allow extra travel time” when traveling in the area.
