Now Wrexham has the chance to write a new chapter in its incredible story.
Within five years, Wrexham had climbed up the EFL pyramid, progressing from a non-league team to the second tier of the EFL Championship – just one step below the Premier League. Wrexham have become the first club in EFL history to win promotion three years in a row and are currently in the play-off positions on the verge of an improbable promotion to the Premier League.
In addition to this, Wrexham reached the last 16 of the FA Cup for the first time since 1997. Reynolds revealed who the Red Dragons will host at Racecourse on Monday. And, uh, it’s a big deal. Just look at Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s reactions. (Warning: NSFW language)
Wrexham will face Premier League giants Chelsea in the fifth round, with the west London powerhouse traveling all the way to North Wales.
