There has been speculation that LeBron James may consider a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers when his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers expires at the end of this season.

James began his career in Cleveland after being selected No. 1 overall in the 2003 draft by the Cavaliers, and as an Ohio native, it would be a fitting place for James to end his career.

If James does return to Cleveland, it would mean joining forces with Cavaliers star guard Donovan Mitchell — a possibility Mitchell was asked about during the All-Star weekend media session.

While Mitchell admitted he’s excited for the opportunity to play with James, he stressed that it’s not his primary focus right now as the Cavaliers potentially prepare for the playoffs this season.

“As a LeBron fan, it’s going to be special to be teammates,” Mitchell said. ‘But that’s out of my control. There will always be coverage, it’s natural, it’s going to be a thing. At the end of the day, my focus is on fighting for this championship. Whatever happens, happens. “
