Mountain View 76, Cottonwood 72
No. 13 Mountain View defeated No. 4 Cottonwood 76-72 in the second round of the Class 4A state tournament UHSAA bracket in Cottonwood. A strong fourth quarter saw Mountain View defeat Cottonwood 27-27 to seal the victory. Mountain View’s Jake Goodman scored 17 points, and Micah Fairbanks and Tanner Fradingebrook scored 15 and 16 points respectively with four three-pointers. Cottonwood’s Malai Artem led all scorers with 33 points and four 3-pointers.

Dixie 68, Ridgeline 58
No. 5 Dixie defeated No. 12 Ridgeline 68-58 in the second round of the Class 4A state tournament. Colin Simmons scored 31 points for Dixie and Asher Spence contributed 14 points. Ridgeline’s Cam Earl scored 24 points and hit three three-pointers. Dixie outscored Richline 14-10 in the first quarter and held the lead throughout the game.
Provo 67, Judge Monument 55
Provo defeated No. 17 Judge Memorial 67-55 in the second round of the Class 4A state tournament. Callen Tollestrup scored 26 points and hit three three-pointers, and Lucas Castagnetto contributed 18 points and hit six three-pointers. Although Judge Memorial’s Marcel Mboji scored 24 points and Ayman Ismail had 19 points and five three-pointers, Provo took control after leading by 4 points at the end of the first quarter and steadily extended its lead. Provo will face No. 8 Skyview in the quarterfinals at Weber State.

Pine View 73, Green Canyon 65
Pine View defeated Green Canyon 73-65 in the second round of the Class 4A state tournament. Nate Tuller scored a Panthers-high 28 points, including five three-pointers, while Caleb Schmidt had 20 points and two three-pointers. Although the Wolves came out strong in the third and fourth quarters, Turrell’s performance was crucial in keeping Pine View’s lead alive. Jelani Ojegba also added 12 points for the Panthers.
Crimson Cliff 59, Murray 57
No. 3 Crimson Cliffs edged No. 14 Murray 59-57 in the second round of the Class 4A state tournament. The Broncos outscored the Spartans 16-8 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Travis Murdock led Crimson Cliffs with 18 points and Murray’s Roman Israyelyan scored a game-high 25 points, including five 3-pointers. The win advances the Crimson Cliffs to the quarterfinals against the Weber State’s sixth-place Hurricanes.

Hurricane 63, Eastern 58
The Hurricanes defeated East 63-58 in the second round of the Class 4A state tournament. Brigham Kemp of the Hurricanes played an important role, scoring 23 points and grabbing 9 rebounds to help his team maintain the lead throughout the game. East’s Beckham Christensen led the team with 15 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Hurricanes’ balanced offense. Lincoln Stout and Quinn Gubler scored 14 and nine points, respectively, for the Hurricanes, who secured a spot in the quarterfinals.
Timpanogos 56, Juan Diego 43
Timpanogos defeated Juan Diego 56-43 in the 4A playoffs. The Timberwolves’ Jaxson McCustian scored 19 points and hit two three-pointers, while Myles Riley also hit two three-pointers and scored 10 points. Dundon was the Flying Eagles’ leading scorer with 20 points. Timpanogos outscored Juan Diego 18-12 in the second quarter to establish a solid lead and maintain control throughout the game.

Sky View 66, Snow Canyon 33
In the second round of the Class 4A state tournament, Sky View defeated Snow Canyon 66-33 with home-court advantage. Sky View’s leading scorer, Macade Rolle, scored 16 points and Easton Mills added 15 points. Snow Canyon’s leading scorer Reggie MacKay scored 15 points, but the team fell behind 17-2 in the second quarter to seal their fate. The win sets up Skyview to face No. 1 Provo in the quarterfinals at Weber State.
3A Playoffs
Emery 60, Logan 55
No. 4 Emery defeated No. 13 Logan 60-55 in the second round of the Class 3A state tournament. Brek Griffin was a key figure for the Spartans, scoring 26 points and hitting two 3-pointers. Although Logan scored 17 points in the final quarter, including 16 points and four three-pointers from Ethan Woolley, they were unable to close the gap. Emery will face No. 12 Grantsville in SUU’s quarterfinals on Feb. 19.

Canyon View 71, Union 62
Canyon View defeated Union 71-62 in the second round of the Class 3A state tournament. Jeter Sanders scored 25 points, including two three-pointers, while his teammate Zach Maine scored 13 points with three three-pointers. Union’s Compton Anderson was the game’s top scorer, scoring 30 points and hitting five three-pointers. The Falcons led 38-25 at halftime after outscoring Union 21-14 in the second quarter and maintained the advantage throughout the game to advance to the quarterfinals against top-ranked Morgan.
American Heritage 79, North Sanpete 43
No. 3 American Heritage defeated No. 14 North Sanpete 79-43 in the second round of the Class 3A state tournament. American Heritage led 23-9 in the first quarter and maintained control throughout. James Mattson of the Patriots scored 24 points and Cade Anderson contributed 16 points, including 4 three-pointers. Bryce Swapp was North Sanpete’s leading scorer with 19 points, including three three-pointers.

Delta 57, Carbon 53
In a Class 3A state tournament, No. 6 Delta defeated No. 11 Carbon 57-53 despite trailing 36-24 in the second half. Delta’s Kobe Driggs scored a team-high 16 points, including two three-pointers. Carbon’s Cash Withers also scored 13 points and four three-pointers. Delta will advance to SUU’s quarterfinals against third-ranked American Heritage.
Ogden 61, Mandy 45
Ogden defeated Mandy 61-45 in the second round of the UHSAA Class 3A state tournament. Tayson Porter scored 24 points for the Tigers, including three three-pointers, and Jackson Maw added 16 points. Manti’s Stone Mortensen scored 16 points and hit two 3-pointers, but the Templars couldn’t overcome a strong third quarter from Ogden, which led 19-7. With the win, Ogden advanced to face Ridgefield in the quarterfinals at Southern Utah University.

75 Ridgefield, 28 Providence Hall
Ridgefield defeated Providence Hall 75-28 in the second round of the Class 3A state tournament. Ridgefield’s Jorgen Southwick led all scorers with 25 points in a 22-4 third-quarter outscoring Providence Hall. Ryker Jones led Providence Hall in scoring with 10 points. With the win, Ridgefield advances to the quarterfinals to face No. 7 Ogden at Southern Utah University.
Grantsville 60, Juab 54
No. 12 Grantsville defeated No. 5 JUAB 60-54 in the second round of the Class 3A state tournament. Brigham Mouritsen scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers, and Crew Allred added 11 points for Grantsville to advance. JUAB’s Kai Cuff scored a team-high 19 points, but the Hornets fell behind despite outshooting the Cowboys 22-14 in the third quarter. Grantsville will face No. 4 Emery in the quarterfinals at SUU on Feb. 19.

Morgan 89, Ben Lomond 46
Top-seeded Morgan defeated No. 16 Ben Lomond 89-46 in the second round of the Class 3A state tournament. Morgan’s Bracken Sanders led all scorers with 26 points, while Mason Williams also contributed 20 points. Brayton Whimpy hit three 3-pointers, showing off Morgan’s depth. For Ben Lomond, Taggart Bush scored 18 points, including two three-pointers. Morgan faced No. 8 Canyon View in SUU’s quarterfinals.

Rowland Hall 74, Millard 58
Rowland Hall defeated Millard 74-58 in the second round of the Class 2A state tournament to advance to the quarterfinals. Jevon Miller scored a Winged Lions-high 24 points and hit 5 three-pointers, while Juru Miller contributed 23 points and hit 3 three-pointers. For Millard, Dirk Memmott and B. Bullard both scored 11 points, of which Bullard hit 3 three-pointers. Rowland Hall gained momentum in the second quarter and outscored Millard 19-16.

San Juan 77, APA West Valley 66
San Juan defeated APA West Valley 77-66 in the 2A playoffs. Jagger Nieves scored a San Juan team-high 23 points, including three three-pointers, and Tripp Palmer also scored 20 points. APA West Valley’s Amir Muhammad scored 28 points and hit five 3-pointers, but the Eagles were unable to overcome a 10-point deficit early in the first quarter. San Juan maintained the lead throughout the game and secured the victory.
Kanab 71, Watford 45
No. 1 Kanab defeated No. 16 Waterford 71-45 in the second round of the Class 2A state tournament. Kanab soared in the first quarter and solidified its lead with a strong 24-point performance in the fourth quarter. Kanab’s offense featured a balanced attack, and Waterford’s Camden Judd scored 13 points, including a 3-pointer. Despite losing the game, Watford’s Solomon Foster scored 9 points and 1 three-pointer.

South Sevier 48, Enterprise 34
South Sevier defeated Enterprise 48-34 in the second round of the Class 2A state tournament. Raidon Barney led South Sevier with 19 points, and Krew Redd and Britton Johnson each hit two 3-pointers. Enterprise’s Carter Hardman scored 15 points in the loss. South Sevier outscored Enterprise 22-12 in the second half to seal the victory.
South Peak 70, Draper APA 49
South Summit defeated Draper APA 70-49 in the second round of the Class 2A state tournament at a neutral site. The Wildcats pulled away decisively in the third quarter to defeat Draper APA 26-13. Maddox Welch led South Summit with 23 points, including three 3-pointers, while Blake Osguthorpe added 22 points with 4 3-pointers. Jones Strong led Draper APA in scoring with 14 points, including two three-pointers.

American Leadership 48, Beaver 45
American Leadership Academy defeated Beaver 48-45 to advance to the Class 2A state tournament. Jakobe Ross scored a Hawks-high 15 points, while Cooper Crockett added 10 points with a key three-pointer. Beaver’s Shevion Ormsby scored 14 points, including two three-pointers, to keep Beaver competitive. Although Beaver led by three points in the first quarter, it could not overcome ALA’s consistent performance in the following quarters.
Gunnison Valley 59, Parowan 54
Gunnison Valley defeated Parowan 59-54 in the second round of the Class 2A state tournament. The Bulldogs dominated the fourth quarter, outscoring Parowan 22-14 to seal the victory. Braxton Pickett led Gunnison Valley with 18 points and Talan Dyreng added 10 points. Tate Stubbs had an impressive performance for Parowan, scoring 22 points, including two 3-pointers.

Beifeng 66, Duchesne 48
No. 2 North Summit defeated No. 15 Duchesne 66-48 to advance to the Class 2A state tournament quarterfinals. Tayton Pace scored 26 points for the Warriors, including 2 three-pointers, along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals. North Peak led 38-20 at halftime, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Rhett Clayburn led Duchesne with 10 points, including a 3-pointer.
