Exeter head coach Rob Baxter says he is positive about the extent of Emmanuel Fahey-Waboso’s hamstring injury.
The 23-year-old England winger picked up the injury in training last week and is likely to miss the rest of the Six Nations.

Exeter’s director of rugby says Fay Waboso, who has netted nine times for Chiefs this season and twice for England in the autumn internationals, will not need surgery.
“Everyone’s recovery is slightly different,” he told BBC Sport.
“We as a club have never set a clear timetable for injuries and said ‘oh, it’s a hamstring injury, it has to be six weeks, it has to be eight weeks, or it has to be 10 weeks, or it has to be 12 weeks’, so we’ll let him recover.
“Typically, the first phase of recovery, the first two to three weeks, is more likely to start telling you what the time frame is.

“At this stage we’re too early in the recovery process to say whether this will be the end of the Six Nations or an early end to the Six Nations. Beyond that, it’s too early.”
“You need to get into those running phases and stretching phases where the symptoms allow you to almost get to the next phase, but we’re nowhere near that point yet, so we’ve still got a ways to go before we start to understand exactly how long the injury lasts.”
