2026 NFL mock draft: Broncos add RB to backfield

Ahead of next weekend’s Super Bowl LX and the end of the 2025 season, Draft Wire’s Curt Popejoy has released an updated three-round 2026 NFL mock draft.

The Denver Broncos kept their original picks through the first three rounds, with Popejoy allowing Denver to add two backs and then add a spark to the team’s backfield.

First up, Broncos select Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood In the first round. Hood spent a three-year college career at Auburn, Colorado, and Tennessee, totaling 77 tackles, 14 breakups, three interceptions (one touchdown) and one fumble return (return for a touchdown).

Denver adds Texas Tech linebacker in second round Jacob Rodriguez. In his final two seasons with the Red Raiders, Rodriguez totaled 255 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 10 forced fumbles, six sacks, five interceptions and four fumble receptions (two of which were touchdowns).

To wrap up three rounds of mock drafts, Popejoy has Broncos selecting Penn State running back Nicholas Singleton. Singleton shared the backfield with Ketlen Allen last fall and rushed 123 times for 549 yards and 13 touchdowns. In four seasons at PSU, Singleton totaled 4,448 yards from scrimmage and scored 54 touchdowns.
