Where Florida football’s 2026 signees land in Rivals300 final update

The 2026 recruiting cycle is coming to an end, and On3 recently finalized its top-300 rankings for the class. Despite hiring a new coach, Florida signed six players on Rivals300, with Jon Sumrall retaining much of the talent under Billy Napier.

The highest-ranked signee was cornerback C.J. Bronaugh, who was ranked No. 68 in the final rankings. Broneau, a three-time state champion sprinter who had eight interceptions in his final two years of high school, is expected to be Florida’s next impact defensive back. Sumrall held off a strong flip bid from Ohio State to land one of the top recruits in the state this cycle.

Offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem is Florida’s other top-100 recruit signing this round. On3 ranked 83rd overall and 12th in the class. While other recruiting services weren’t as high on him, Chukuyem stood out at 6-foot-6, 290 pounds. He’s very athletic for his size and will likely get some playing time as a freshman, although it’s rare for a forward to do so.

Just outside the top 100 is wide receiver Davian Groce at No. 101. Both 247Sports and ESPN list him at No. 52, so the Rivals300 ratings can be deceiving. He’s quick and versatile enough to fit in wherever he can get playing time sooner – wide, in the slot, specific formations, etc. With the departure of Eugene Wilson III, Groce has a path to early playing time. He also has backfield experience if needed.

Edge linebacker Kevin “KJ” Ford is ranked No. 145. Texas A&M was pursuing him leading up to signing day, but he stayed at Florida State, giving Samrall a big win early. He is a pure pass rusher, SEC standing at 6-foot-3.5, 245 pounds. He will likely add muscle once he starts working out with the Gators. He could get an early start in a pass rush situation, possibly at Jack linebacker.

Just a few spots below Ford is wide receiver Justin Williams at No. 151. Williams is another converted running back who is a true athlete in a recruiting sense. He might be one of the Gators’ biggest all-around threats. Williams is the first Florida high school senior in more than 20 years to rush and receive for 1,000 yards in the same season, joining Devin Hester in 2002.

Rounding out that group is safety Dylan Purter at No. 282. Pulte is the only true Sumrall commit this cycle, transferring from LSU on the second day of the early signing period. Sumrall and his staff already had a relationship with him during his time at Tulane, and moving to the SEC made his decision easier.
